Plastic Canvas

Plastic Canvas is a firm, plastic canvas used for novelty needlepoint. Due to its firmness, it can be cut into shapes. Plastic canvas can used for items that have a 3-dimensional shape such as tissue box covers, as well as flat projects such as placemats and coasters, or ornaments. Plastic Canvas is available in a variety of mesh counts, colors and shapes. Flat sheets of canvas are perfect for cutting into shapes or using full-size for placemats, as well as round and square shapes, which are perfect for coasters and ornaments. Because the holes in plastic canvas are much larger than most forms of conventional needlepoint canvas, heavier yarns, such as knitting weight and rug weight yarn, are used for stitching. Any needlepoint stitch can be used on plastic canvas. I love this craft. It's relaxing and costs pennies. I have 1000's of patterns to share.
